Austin & Central Texas
Fairfield Innovations is a full-service outdoor design and build firm serving West Austin, Westlake Hills, Bee Cave, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, and the surrounding communities. From first-concept landscape design to finished construction and ongoing restoration — one team, start to finish.
Find Your Starting Point
You have a vision — a blank slate or an overgrown yard that needs structure, planting, and purpose. We start with a landscape design that maps everything out, then build it from the ground up.
Shade, shelter, and a place to gather. From a freestanding pergola to a fully covered patio, we design and build structures that make your yard livable year-round.
Sloped lots, erosion, standing water — these are common across Central Texas hill country. Our retaining wall and drainage work solves them structurally, not cosmetically.
In Central Texas, evenings are often the best time to be outside. Landscape lighting adds security, ambiance, and usability — highlighting architecture, paths, and planting.
Deck boards failing, a pergola post rotting, a retaining wall starting to lean — these don't fix themselves. Our repair and restoration team handles structural corrections and material replacements across everything we build.
How We Work
Every project falls into one of three disciplines — or a combination of them. Here’s what each one means.
Design
Great outdoor spaces start with intentional planning. Our design process maps your entire property — grading, drainage, structures, planting zones, lighting, and circulation — before anything is built. You see exactly what you’re getting before you commit.
Landscape DesignBuild
From structural hardscapes to full outdoor living systems — designed for the Texas heat, hill country soil, and long-term performance.
Restore
Decks deteriorate, pergola posts rot, retaining walls crack, and masonry shifts. We correct the underlying problem — not just the surface — so it doesn’t come back.
Repairs & RestorationCommon Questions
Not always — but for any project involving multiple elements (structures, planting, grading, lighting), a design plan saves money. It prevents change-orders mid-build, ensures everything is properly sized and permitted, and gives you a document you can build in phases over years instead of all at once.
It depends on scope. A simple pergola or patio cover can be done in a single day once materials are on-site — larger or more custom structures typically run 1–2 weeks. A full landscape installation with structures, planting, and lighting can take 6–12 weeks. Either way, we give you a project schedule before work begins.
We work throughout Austin and Central Texas — including Lakeway, Bee Cave, Westlake Hills, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Dripping Springs, and the surrounding Hill Country. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, call us and we’ll tell you straight.
Yes. We start with a quick phone call — you describe the project, we give you a realistic ballpark so you know whether the numbers make sense before anyone visits your property. If we’re in the right range, we schedule a site visit to walk the property, measure, and put together a proper proposal. No pressure, no obligation. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so.
It depends on what’s actually failing — and we won’t know until we look at it. Surface-level damage is usually repairable. Structural failure, drainage problems, or rot that’s spread to framing typically means replacement is the better investment. We’ll assess it honestly and tell you which situation you’re in before you spend anything.
Our primary work is design and construction. We don’t offer recurring lawn maintenance. What we do offer is warranty support on our installations and we’re available for repairs and improvements to work we’ve done — and work others have done that needs fixing.
We’ve been doing this in Central Texas for 25 years. We design and build — meaning the people who drew your plan are connected to the people installing it. We don’t subcontract core work. We don’t upsell you on things your property doesn’t need. And we’re still here after the job is done.
